Football or Baby Einstein

With Football season around the corner, I needed to start training Asher to watch TV and figure out how he's be most comfortable. Carter started him out yesterday watching Baby Einstein and set up a little recliner seat for him. (As you can see, Minnie took her usual position for the show). He'll be ready by kickoff.

Asher Mad Dog Part Deux

With Summer coming to an end, I will soon have to turn over my nanny responsibilities to someone who is more qualified. So today Asher and I went to the driving range. I made him work on some intimidating poses in case someone said he was not dressed Yuppie enough. The top picture is Asher holding back the rage. Of course he can't hold it in too long and starts to laugh when he realizes he is a Yuppie.

Pre-feed/Post-feed

Food makes all the difference in this baby's demeanor. When it's getting to be feeding time, Asher turns very serious and concerned that his food may not satisfy his growing needs. (as seen in the top picture) This can also lead to him just losing it. Right after feeding, he kinda goes into a formula high. He just rides the cloud.

He loves him some sleep

I know some people like to sleep; Asher loves it. It's probably his greatest strength. Sometimes I wake him up on purpose because I get bored waiting for him. tonight I just let him sleep on.

Emo Album Cover

Asher has been practicing the most important facet to the Emo Album Cover- look away at nothing and pretend like you mean it. Any gret Emo Album cover never lets the band look at the camera; Asher is just following suit.

Sleepy Saturday

Ususally I stay up late with Asher and Carter covers the mornings. She usually brings him down stairs and they sleep on the couch. Asher's really started to take to the footed jammie scene and loves these because it makes the ladies focus on his little asset.

He's running 60-75% average in everything.
He's starting to sleep at six hour clips, so it's making the nighttime a lot easier

The Cramer Uncle and Aunt

This is a picture of my sister Brittney and her husband Joe. They flew up for Asher's blessing and the free food. We appreciate them making the flight up from Utah. The had to leave at 3 a.m. to try and catch their flight home.

A weekend of gluttony

When the Ellingson's get together, it is non-stop eating and games. Mostly eating. as you can see, the effects have hit Asher and now he's trying to work it off.

Recovering from a hard weekend

Today Asher was able to lay back and relax in the hot tub at the Motel. After about 5 minutes in, he pretty much went comatose.

Great Grandma Ellingson

Asher is the first great-grandson with the Ellingson surname. Like me, he's the Ellingson first and will receive all titles and opportunities reserved for the first. On the Ellingson side, these are good things.

Blessing Day

Here's Asher getting ready for church. Carter calls this his hobo coat. I think he looks quite daper. We had to use quite a bit of product to get the hair to stay down. That's what gives him the wind-blown comb over look.

Our new babysitter

This is Ally. She is the daughter of Joe and Camron who manage the motel. She is one of Asher's first groupie's since she carries a picture of him with her.

More visitors

Carter's sister Tarah and her husband Erik came down for a couple of days. We had a really good time, Erik works for Pixar and so has full Disneyland access, he and I took advantage of that on Monday and made a full day of it. Tarah is pregenant with twins; so she and Carter took it a bit easier. They were able to spend some time by the pool and went to a mini-shower in Laguna.

When Bad Clothes Happen to Good People

As a baby, Asher really has no say in what he wears.

The Dog outfit was courtesy of Sandy who was determined he loved it. The Hippy outfit is from Carter's sister Tarah. They are from the Bay Area and so of course brought their hippy influence down to our boy. As long as Asher never requests to go to a Phish concert, then he can wear all the Tie-dye he wants.
